Home Free Living is a personal experiment in lifestyle change. Author Kristen Cheep is a thinker and iconoclast living in the Bay Area who is quitting his job and shedding most possessions (including his bed) on January 5, 2010, to pursue his dream of being a writer (albeit a homeless one).

The blog itself is partially a how-to encouraging others to engage in like-minded downward mobility for social, creative, environmental or personal reasons; it is also a manifesto for the cause and an organizational hub pertaining to the logistics of the writer's life and the homeless life.
